Anitun Tabu

Anitun Tabu is known as the fickle-minded goddess of wind and rain in Filipino mythology. Legend has it that Aniton Tauo was once considered superior to other Zambales deities. The Zambales people used to offer her with the best kind of pinipig or pounded young rice grains during harvest season. Sacrifices that made use of these ingredients are known as mamiarag in their local dialect.
